The Purchasing Division is the area of the Finance Department which is responsible for all purchasing. The supervision of the division is performed by the Purchasing Agent.
The City of Port Huron has joined the Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network, an online system providing easy access by vendors to government bids. City personnel who are involved with the purchasing process are being trained, while vendors who provide goods and services will receive information on how they can register for the easy-to-use system.
